Carl received two bachelor’s degrees (summa cum laude) from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign majoring in Economics, Finance, and Political Science. He earned his J.D. (cum laude) from Cornell Law School. While at Cornell, he achieved the CALI Award for Excellence (i.e. the book award) in federal income taxation and served as an editor on the Journal of Law & Public Policy.
Carl is admitted to practice in New York and Florida, rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, and is board-certified in Florida in the area of tax law.
